Abstract: Nanocarbons possess high electrical, thermal conductivity and large specific surface area along with the good mechanical strength that conventional material cannot match which makes their field of application large. Moreover, these characteristic properties can be achieved over broad range of conditions along with the diversity in their structure. Due to this reasons, nanocarbons are extensively studied in applications going from photonics and optoelectronics to biotech and nanomedicine.[1-4, 9, 15, 16] Recently, nanocarbons have gained increased focus as a catalyst in a variety of energy related applications such as Li-ion batteries, metal-air batteries, fuel cells, supercapacitors, water-splitting reactions and so on.[17, 18] 1.2:
