Abstract: The thesis presents the mechanistic investigations of programmable supramolecular polymerization through molecular chirality and secondary nucleations. We have attempted in constructing higher ordered hierarchical supramolecular structures, and in playing with chirality controlled primary and secondary nucleation events. In addition, we have also shown the visualization of supramolecular conglomerate and asymmetry amplified supramolecular polymers using chiral staining agent through diastereomeric interactions. Comprehensive experiments using in situ spectroscopic probing, kinetic modelling, and microscopic studies provide an in-depth mechanistic insight in programmable supramolecular polymerizations.
