dc.description.abstract | Driven systems are of great importance in physics. Most systems realisable experimentally are non-equilibrium system and involves some sort of currents or dissipation. But, these systeM.S. are very hard to treat theoretically. It is hard to treat systeM.S. considerably far from equilibrium with the techniques derived for equilibrium systeM.S.. Floquet systeM.S. act as a bridge in this sense. These systeM.S. can be described by an e ective time independent Hamiltonian, the Floquet Hamiltonian. We saw some methods of calculating the same in Chapter 1. | en_US |
