Pamng of homolopis chromosomes and genetlc recombmation are key features of n~cios~Ds.N .4 repair evcnts at the pachytene interval of mammalian germ cclls la very dlsunct and are ahen llnled to the genellc recombmanon procrsses The DNA polymorphism observed could be generated by the mciotlc reeomhma?~on-associated events. Durmg thc last tew years om iaboratory has been studying some of thc aspects of DNA repair processes thrt occur in rat pachytene spermatocytes and dso the behavlour of lamina structure dunng spermatogenesis.
