Abstract: The first organically templated cadmium sulfates, [C4N2H12][CdCl2SO4].H2O and [C4N2H12](4)[Cd3Cl10(SO4)(2)-(H2O)]. 3H(2)O, consisting of infinite linear chains and a quasi-2D layer formed by strip-like units respectively, have been synthesized and characterized.
