Scientific pursuit is essentially a creative urge. Science is also an important part of our culture. Science is a demanding master, not easy to satisfy. Only those who completely submit to it seem to reap the benefits in terms of intellectual excitement and satisfaction. In this context, it is beneficial to recall the lives and work of great men who accomplished against all odds and would not give up easily. What is also wonderful is that there is no limit to scientific pursuit. It is thrilling to witness the way ideas which start off as a mere grain of pollen develop to become forests and continents. Nothing can be more rewarding to a scientist than achieving a state where doing science becomes a way of life.en_US
